My name is Graziela (Grazi) Farias Martelli and I’m a first-year MA student in Social and Personality Psychology at York University.

I obtained my Specialized Honours Degree at York in 2022. My Honours Thesis studied the relationship between government restrictions on religion and cultural distance between coreligionists in several countries under the supervision of Dr. Cindel White. I had such a good experience working together with Dr. White that I was very happy to be accepted into the Masters program at York under her supervision again. I am interested in researching faith and beliefs in general, and the ways in which culture interplays with those more specifically.

Outside of school I have a few hobbies that I've acquired over the years. I've delved into photography, have recently started archery, and have been fond of knitting for a few years as well. Myself, my husband and my two daughters can often be found camping or hiking on weekends over the summer and hiding under a blanket with our two cats in winter.
